Caption: Wulfenite. Cut and polished crystals of the minerals wulfenite (paler translucent blocks) and mimetite (brighter orange). Wulfenite (or yellow lead ore) consists of lead molybdate. It tends to form tetragonal (four-sided) crystals, as seen here. It is a minor source of the metal molybdenum. Mimetite is an arseniate of lead and forms hexagonal crystals.
