Caption: Crandallite mineral. Crandallite is a calcium aluminium phosphate mineral. It forms in sedimentary rocks when groundwater precipitates, or when other phosphate minerals break down. This sample, which measures 110 millimetres wide, has formed into flat, rosette structures. It was found in Blaton, Belgium.
