Caption: Prehnite and okenite minerals. Sample of rock containing prehnite (small round bumps) and okenite (large, round, fuzzy) crystals. Prehnite and okenite are two minerals that are often found together. Prehnite is a semi-precious gemstone and is a silicate mineral of calcium and aluminium. Prehnite occurs as small pearl-like collections with a vitreous lustre. Okenite is a silicate mineral of calcium and is most commonly found as small white 'cotton ball' formations within basalt rock cavities (geodes).
