Cobaltine. This mineral is composed of cobalt, arsenic and sulphur (CoAsS). The crystals have a reddish metallic lustre and are an ore for the metal cobalt, which is used in various metal alloys, in magnets and recording media, as well as in paints, porcelain, enamels and many other products. This specimen is 10 centimetres wide.
