Caption: Tyrannosaurus rex & Titanosaur. Artwork of a Tyrannosaurus rex dinosaur eating a Titanosaur. At lower left is a nest filled with empty dinosaur eggs (probably those of Titanosaur). Tyrannosaurus ("tyrant reptile") was a large carnivore being about 14 metres long, 5 metres tall and weighing about 7 tonnes. Its mouth contained doubly- serrated teeth up to 15 centimetres long. T. rex was one of the last dinosaurs to evolve, appearing about 70 million years ago before becoming extinct at the end of the Cretaceous period. Titanosaurs were large herbivores that grew up to 35 metres in length and weighed up to 100 tonnes.
