Caption: Flying pterosaurs, artwork. Pterosaurs were flying reptiles that inhabited what is now North America and Europe during the late Cretaceous period, between 85 and 75 million years ago. Pterosaurs were carnivorous, and probably fed on fish, catching them from the water in their toothless bills. Its wingspan could reach up to ten metres.
