Caption: Gulf of Saint Lawrence, Canada, satellite image. North is at top. This is the inland part of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence (blue), at the point where it meets Quebec City (grey, lower centre). The Gulf of Saint Lawrence is the estuary for the Saint Lawrence River, which flows into the Gulf from lower left. The river connects the gulf to the Great Lakes to the south and west, and the gulf in turn connects the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Image data obtained on 23 August 2002.
