Caption: Tintagel Head. Aerial photograph of the remains of Tintagel Castle on Tintagel Head, an eroded headland on the north Cornish coast. The castle remains date from the 13th century, when it is thought that the Earl of Cornwall built the castle for propaganda purposes. The site is also associated with the mythic legend of King Arthur.
