Caption: Cattle drinking. Herd of cattle (Bos taurus) drinking from a traditional trough. Water is obtained from wells using large containers. The water is then poured into large troughs made of mud and lined with millet stalks. This binds the mud together and prevents damage. Families take turns using the troughs and they are rebuilt on a regular basis as they are usually washed away during the rainy season. Photographed in Chad.
