Caption: Tagging device for cows. Device used to attach identification tags to the ears of cows (Bos taurus). The tags display a unique 15 digit number and are made out of yellow plastic (as seen here). A secondary tag can also be used but may be made out of a range of materials and may also include a microchip to allow electronic identification of the animal. Photographed at the Salon International D'Agriculture (SIA), the world's largest food and farming show, in 2001.
