Caption: Jacob sheep (Ovis aries) head. Jacob sheep are a primitive breed of black-and-white, domestic, multi-horned sheep, so named from recordings in the Book of Genesis that suggest they were owned by Jacob. Jacob sheep are relatively uncommon as livestock in both the UK and USA, although they can be raised for their wool, meat and hides. Photographed in Kent, England, in July.
