Caption: Aquaculture research. Scientist studying juvenile turbot (Psetta maxima) during research into the suitability of the species for fish farming. These fish have been bred in captivity. Turbot is a prized food fish of the northeast Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. It is usually found at depths of between 12 and 80 metres. The juveniles live mainly around the coast. Aquaculture of such fish allows producers to control supply to meet demand. Photographed at the French research institute IFREMER.
