Caption: Cotton bale inspection. Worker inspecting bales of cotton outside a processing plant. In the brown sacks are the processed fibrous bolls of the cotton plant (Gossypium sp.). After harvesting, the bolls were fed into a cotton gin. This machine removed the cotton seeds from cotton fibres, before they were packed into bales as seen here. Photographed in Kern County, California, USA.
