Caption: Tokyo Bay seen from space. Tokyo city is at the top of the frame. On the west coast of the bay (left of centre) is Yokohama. Once a separate city, urban sprawl has joined Tokyo and Yokohama to form a vast metropolis. Most of the bay is liberally equipped with port facilities, and dozens of ships are visible. The pale rectangular area on the coast just left of centre is Tokyo's Haneda Airport. This photograph was taken by the crew of Shuttle Mission STS-58 of 18 October to 1 November 1993.
