In the infrared range natural vegetation is red, cultivated land is light blue, buildings are grey/pink, and water is black. The two cities are linked by several bridges across Tampa Bay. Tampa's major airport is on the peninsula at upper centre. Tampa and St. Petersburg are major seaports, manufacturing centres & holiday resorts. Off the coast of St. Petersburg is a reef of islands (keys) that form a lagoon. Image taken by the American Landsat satellite in March.
