Caption: Orchid flower (Diuris longifolia). The central part of the flower is at centre left. Various long and distinctively shaped petals and sepals are also seen. The paired sepals (green) at lower left explain the common name for the Diuris orchids of double-tail orchids. This orchid is a terrestrial orchid (it grows in the ground). It is found in south-western and south-eastern Australia. There are more than 30,000 species of orchids worldwide, many of which are grown as ornamental flowers.
