Caption: Oil well fire clean-up. Firefighter surveying the area around a recently-extinguished oil well fire in Iraq. This firefighter is from Boots and Coots, a Halliburton company. Retreating Iraqi troops set fire to several well heads in the Rumeilah Oil Field in southern Iraq during the coalition invasion in March 2003. This well fire was extinguished with water, and the area will be cleaned before the gusher is stopped with drilling mud. Photographed in March 2003.
