Caption: Bhopal disaster victims. Row of dead bodies of infants killed in the industrial disaster that occurred in Bhopal, India, on 3 December 1984. The bodies are being examined by survivors who are attempting to find missing friends and relatives. The victims were killed by a leakage of a toxic gas (methyl isocyanate) from the Union Carbide chemical factory in Bhopal. 3000 people were killed that night, and many thousands more died later from the after effects of the gas, in what is considered the worst industrial disaster in the world.
