Caption: Fynbos damage. Walker's boot trampling a delicate fynbos flower. The fynbos is an area of rich plant diversity, found in the Western Cape region of South Africa. Many of the plants are rare and found nowhere else in the world. Human impact on the fynbos ecosystem can be devastating if not carefully managed. This part of the fynbos is in the De Hoop Nature Reserve.
