Caption: Terracotta warriors. These lifesize figures of warriors and cavalry date from the 2nd century BC. They were buried with the Emperor of Qin, the first emperor of China between 210-209 BC. It is thought they were buried with the emperor in the belief that they would help him reign in the afterlife. The site is a World Heritage Site. Photographed near Xian, China.
