Caption: Pink fawn lily. Two flowers of the pink fawn lily, Erythronium revolutum, (also known as American trout lily) stand out vividly against a dark background. The plant can grow to about 30 centimetres tall. There are many other forms of this species, each with a differently coloured flower. There are about 20 species in this genus of bulb plants, which are widely distributed throughout the northern hemisphere. Photographed on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.
