Locomotion study. Professor Robert Full studies the movement of a centipede on a treadmill he is controlling. The adjustments the centipede makes to sudden changes in the speed of the treadmill are being studied here. This is being done to aid the development of robots with novel forms of locomotion for traversing difficult and varied terrain.
