Caption: Fluorescence micrograph of human monoclonal antibodies binding to the surface of brain cancer cells taken from a patient with glioma tumour. The antibodies have been raised in culture so that they will bind only to these cells. In order to make the binding visible, they have been "stained" with fluorescein, so that they glow green when the cancer cells are viewed under an ultraviolet microscope.
