Caption: Analysis of a Goya painting. X-ray at 1:1 scale of the portrait, by Francisco Goya (1746-1828), of the Comtesse de Chinchon. The X-ray has revealed that Goya used the canvas for two earlier artworks that were painted over to produce the final one. The two earlier subjects were the Marquis de Vilafranca and Manual Don Godov. Photographed in the Museo del Prado, Madrid, Spain.
