Forensics. Boundaries of a crime scene marked out by scene of crime officers (SOCOs). Police tape has been tied to sticks, which are acting as boundary posts. Two kit bags containing tools needed to collect evidence have been opened up. Alongside is a torch and a roll of tape (bottom centre). An SOCO is standing in the background, wearing protective clothing in the form of a paper suit, overshoes and mask to prevent contamination of the crime scene. SOCOs provide scientific support to police forces. They establish what evidence is required from a crime scene and the best way to obtain it.
