All were awarded Nobel Prizes for Physics. Einstein received the Nobel Prize in 1921 for his theory of the photoelectric effect but his main achieve- ment was the theory of general relativity. Michel- son (1852-1931) was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1907 for his experiments aimed at the measurement of the speed of light. Millikan (1868-1953) won the Nobel Prize in 1923.
