Caption: Oleg Konstantinovich Antonov (1906-1984), Soviet aircraft designer, testing an aeroplane design. Antonov founded an aircraft design company later named Antonov ASTC in his honour. He was head designer, and worked on aircraft such as the An-2, An-22, and An-24. His awards include two Orders of Lenin, the USSR State Award, and Hero of Socialist Labour.
