The German-Swiss-US physicist Einstein (1879-1955) is famed for his mass and energy equation, as well as his theories of Special and General Relativity that rewrote the concepts of gravity, space and time. Ben-Gurion (1886-1973) was the first Israeli Prime Minister. Einstein won the 1921 Nobel Prize for Physics. He supported the Zionist movement to form the state of Israel, and declined its presidency in 1952. Photographed in 1951, in Princeton, New Jersey, USA.
