Caption: Albert Einstein's (1879-1955) first wife and sons, photographed in 1914. Left to right are; Eduard Einstein (1910-1965), Mileva Einstein (1875-1948) and Hans Albert Einstein (1907-1973). Einstein and Mileva married in 1903, but divorced in 1919. Einstein received the 1921 Nobel Prize for Physics for work on the photoelectric effect. However, he is best known for his paper on the special theory of relativity, which resulted in the famous equation E=mc2.
