Caption: Walter Goodacre (1856-1938), British businessman and amateur astronomer. Goodacre worked for his family's business in London, but in his spare time made rigorous observations of the moon. He produced a large hand-drawn map of the near-side of the lunar surface in 1910, followed by a book with maps and descriptions of lunar features in 1931. He became Director of the Lunar Section of the British Astronomical Association in 1897, and served as the association's president from 1922- 24.
