Caption: Steven Jobs' former home. House in which Steven Paul Jobs, American computer pioneer, and Stephen Wozniak founded Apple Computers in 1976. The house belonged to Jobs' parents. Jobs and Wozniak began designing a computer circuit board in a bedroom but completed it in the garage. Their first sales call (for just the boards) resulted in an order for fifty units so they began selling computers too. Their first design was a success despite being sold without a monitor, keyboard or casing. Apple Computers was incorporated in January 1977 with a third partner, Mike Markkula. Photographed at 2066 Crist Drive in Los Altos, California; an area now known as "Silicon Valley".
