Caption: Oleg Nikolayevich Krokhin (born 1932), Soviet physicist, giving a lecture. Krokhin was one the designers of the quantum generator, and worked with the Nobel laureate Basov on lasers. Krokhin is a senior research member of the Lebedev Physical Institute, and was its director from from 1994 to 2004. He was elected to the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1991. His awards include the Lenin Prize. Photographed in 1964, in Moscow, Russia.
