Caption: Jean Nicolas Corvisart de Marets (1755-1821), French doctor. Marets was the personal aid to Napoleon II, for which he was made a Baron. He made popular the act of looking at the body surface to aid in diagnosis and was one of the first to describe an aneurism (a blood-filled dilated blood vessel caused by a weakened vessel wall).
