Caption: Japanese Stilt Grass (Microstegium vimineum) is an annual Camus Grass native to Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, and India. It was first introduced to the United States around 1919 and now occurs in about fourteen eastern states. Japanese Stilt Grass is an invasive plant that spreads to form large patches, displacing native species that are not able to compete with it.
