Caption: Giuglio Natta (1903-1979), Italian chemist and Nobel laureate. Natta was educated in Milan, became a professor at Pavia University and then at the University of Rome, and later at the Polytechnic Universities of Turin and Milan. It was from 1934, in Turin and Milan, that he did the work on polymers for which he was awarded a share of the 1963 Nobel Prize for Chemistry. Photographed in 1970, in Italy.
