Caption: Genrikh Novozhilov (born 1925), Soviet aircraft designer. Novozhilov, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was the deputy designer at the Ilyushin aircraft design bureau, and rose to become General Designer. He was twice made a Hero of Socialist Labour, and was also a winner of the Lenin Prize. His awards are seen pinned to his suit. Aircraft that he has worked on include the Il-76, Il-86, Il-96-300, Il-78, Il-96M/T, Il-114 and Il-103. Photographed in Moscow, Russia, in 1982.
