Caption: Transverse waves produced by single water drop falling into a liquid. Initial crater walls collapse causing spread of waves in concentric rings outward from centre. Inward spreading waves are forced upward into a column of water which after a certain height becomes unstable, the surface tension breaks and small droplets are created before the whole collapses.
