Caption: Marcus du Sautoy (1965-present), British mathematician. Du Sautoy is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford, where he also studied. His main research area is group theory. In 2001 he was awarded the Berwick Prize, which is given every 2 years by the London Mathematical Society for the best mathematical research by a mathematician under 40. Du Sautoy regularly writes for The Times and The Guardian newspapers and presents the television programme Mind Games on BBC4.
