Caption: John Wheeler (1911-2008), American theoretical physicist, talking to Richard Sewall (1908-2003), a professor of English. Wheeler is most famous for coining the term "black hole". He was also a pioneer in the theory of nuclear fission, and worked on the Manhattan Project, which developed the atom bomb during World War II.
