Caption: Millipede (Narceus americanus) is a forest dwelling arthropod found in the eastern U.S. and southeastern Canada. Contrary to their name, millipedes have nowhere close to a thousand legs. In fact most have fewer than a hundred. They are nocturnal and feed on decomposing vegetation.
