Caption: London plane tree (Platanus x acerifolia). These trees are deciduous and grow to between 15 and 40 metres. They are often used ornamentally in European towns and cities for lining roadsides. The tree is probably a hybrid P. occidentalis and P. orientalis, created in northern Europe at the end of the 17th century.
