Caption: Amyloidosis. Coloured transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of a section through tissue with abnormal deposoits of amyloid protein (red). Amyloidosis is a disorder where deposits of amyloid (a glycoprotein) in body organs can threaten healthy function.
