Caption: Bladder adhesions. Endoscope view of a patient's bladder with adhesions (white) across its inner surface. Adhesions are growths of fibrous (scar) connective tissue formed as a response to tissue trauma. These adhesions are due to surgery to treat cancer of the bladder. If the adhesions cause severe pain, obstruct or cause dysfunction of the bladder, they are removed surgically.
