Caption: Secondary brain cancer. Sectioned gross clinical specimen of a secondary malignant (cancerous) brain tumour (neoplasm, upper left). This cancer originated in the breast before it transferred (metastasised) to the brain. Symptoms include headaches, muscle weakness, epileptic seizures and sensory disturbances. If the tumour is not able to be removed surgically, then chemotherapy may be tried, but the prognosis is usually bleak.
