Caption: Tonsil lymphoma seen at the back of a patient's mouth during a throat examination. This is Burkitt's lymphoma of the right tonsil. A lymphoma is a cancer of lymphoid tissue. The palatine tonsils are areas of lymphoid tissue in the throat, one set on either side. Here, the size of the cancer is obstructing the throat. Treatment involves surgical removal combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
