Caption: Tilt-head aloe flower (Aloe speciosa), macrophotograph. This plant is similar to the cacti, being extremely resistant to drought. An evergreen succulent, it is originally from South Africa. Its flowers grow in racemes, long clusters growing from a central stem, with the youngest at the top. They are red to greenish- white. Magnification: x0.8 at 35mm size.
