Caption: Secondary cancer. Coloured magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan of a coronal (frontal) view of a secondary cancerous growth (green) in the eye of a 74- year-old male. The primary cancer was found in the patient's thigh and has spread, a process known as metastasis. Once secondary growths are discovered, the prognosis is poor. Treatment in the form of surgical removal, followed by chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy only offers a temporary cure.
