Seborrheic eczema. Image 1 of 4. Seborrheic eczema on the face of a 4-month-old boy. Eczema is an inflammation of the skin accompanied by itching and blisters. Seborrheic eczema is when there is an excessive secretion of sebum (oil and cellular debris) due to the condition. Eczema does not always have a known cause. It can be treated with soothing ointments and corticosteroid drugs. This patient developed an infection of his eczema. This can be seen in images M150/264-266.
