This colour enhanced CTA (CT angiogram) shows the abdominal aorta, the pelvic vessels, and the arteries of the legs. There is tortuosity of the common iliac arteries but no significant narrowing of the blood vessels. Both kidneys are visualized at the level of the lower abdominal aorta. This is a good technique to assess the blood vessels and requires an injection of dye (contrast agent) and a high quality spiral CT scan.
