Caption: Skin growth. Upper arm of a 59- year-old woman with a lipoma. A lipoma is a benign (non-cancerous) tumour composed of soft, fatty tissue. It is completely harmless and does not need to be removed unless it grows very large in size. This lipoma was previously removed by liposuction 7 years earlier but has re-emerged.
